At Barna Log Homes of Northern Michigan, we do it all! We can provide you with the following services...
Log Home Design
You can select from one of our standard floor plans in the Barna catalog, which are designed to be easily modified to meet your personal lifestyle. Or, if you prefer your own design, we can guide you. By using our in-house CAD system, we can help you design the home of your dreams. From these preliminary floor plans, a complete set of architectural plans, which comply with all the local building codes, will be drawn by Barna's drafting department. We will also provide you with a detailed estimate customized to fit your needs.
Construction Services
We can provide all your construction needs...from just providing the log package to turn-key. We use trusted, reliable, licensed and insured subcontractors for all of our work. Your price will reflect savings we receive from our subcontractors as a result of our long-term relationships. These services include the following:
- Procurement of log package
- Procurement of all required permits
- Installation of driveway
- Site preparation work including, clearing, excavation, well and septic
- Temporary utility hook-ups and temporary facilities
- Construction of foundation and sub-floor
- Acceptance, unloading and inventorying of log package
- Log package assembly (dry-in)
- Hiring, supervision and coordination of carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and flooring contractors
- Guidance with kitchen design, including procurement of cabinets and counter-tops
- Treating, staining and finishing of logs, interior and exterior
- Coordination of county inspections and obtaining certificate of occupancy
